the airbus a380 mother of all passenger planes flew past klcc twice! on its way back to france.

got this on a mobile camera phone. the a380 was really big. impressive. exciting.

Aquaria KLCC

took the kids - 2 small kids, 1 big kid - to aquaria last saturday. group rate was rm90. it turned out to be an excellent trip.

we've been to langkawi underwater world and singapore underwater world. i'd say aquaria is the best, followed by langkawi underwater world.

all the three kids enjoyed the trip, especially the big kid that was taking photos on her cameraphone almost non-stop.

be that as it may, i think aquaria's design is not children friendly. some of the exhibits of insects and spiders are located 5 feet above ground level. i had to lift the kids one by one so that they could see the exhibits. a few other visitors were heard making similar remarks.

the designers of aquaria apparently overlooked that their main customers would be kids.

have you guys encountered any other children attractions but not built to be children friendly? let me know.

Raya aftermath...

today is the fifth day of syawal. i was back in kuantan before iftar on the last day of ramadhan, hence managed to have iftar together with my parents and brothers. it was a feast and i cant really remember what we had. all i remembered was later that night i went to ikelah's house to learn to feed his cats for later to be taught to boogey. of course, i made ikelah to tell me how to logon to internet on his computer first. heh heh heh....

i managed to meet up with kuantan based ham radio group ie Persatuan Radio Amatur Negeri Pahang (PERAMAH). was at 9w2pdb followed by 9w2www homes past midnight on friday. quite a number of stations congregated there. i'll post the group photo at MARES website.

i was in kuantan for 4 days before hitting the road for perak, my wife's place. we took the road to genting highland and then to batang kali. we entered the plus highway at tanjung malim and proceeded to tapah exit. the journey was smooth. not much traffic. however, on the plus highway, the south-bound traffic was horrendous. at some points, the traffic came to a stand still.
today we made it back to kl from teluk intan. we took the coastal road and stopped by bukit melawati in kuala selangor on the way. the kids loved the huge iron cannon and the monkeys or lotongs.

overall, the raya this year was as interesting as previous years. there's always some drama. this year there were two, but i shall keep the tale to myself.

i am still on raya leave until end of this week. im thinking of taking the kids to toysrus to spend their duit raya and then maybe to aquaria. aida has promised to babysit them and i shall have her make good on that promise.
